Alright lets talk about the truck that pulls up like its ready to work but also wouldnt mind looking good in the driveway the 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn Lone Star.
This isnt just a pickup
This is what happens when Ram says,
Lets make a truck that works hard but rides like an SUV.
First off the look.
The Big Horn / Lone Star trim hits that perfect balance.
Bold front grille
Muscular stance
Chrome touches
Its not overly flashy but it definitely says:
Yeah I do truck stuff.
This is the kind of truck that looks just as comfortable on a job site as it does at dinner.
Now lets talk performance.
Youve got options, but most come with the 3.6L V6 with eTorque mild hybrid making 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque
Translation:
Smooth
Efficient (for a truck)
Plenty capable
Or if youre feeling bold
Theres the 5.7L HEMI V8 pushing around 395 horsepower
Which basically turns this into:
Work truck
Tow machine
Yeah I didnt need that much power but I got it anyway
Towing & capability?
This thing is built to actually do truck things.
Strong payload capacity
Serious towing potential (varies by setup)
Bed ready for whatever you throw in it
This isnt for show this is for getting stuff done.
Fuel economy?
Around 21 MPG combined with the V6
Which, for a full-size truck, is honestly respectable.
Now lets talk ride quality because this is where Ram flexes.
Smooth ride
Comfortable suspension
Way nicer than older trucks
You hit a bump and its like:
That was surprisingly civilized.
Ram trucks are known for riding better than most in this class and you feel it immediately.
Step inside
And this is where people get surprised.
Spacious cabin
Seating for up to 6
Big touchscreen (depending on setup)
Tons of storage
Its not just a truck its a rolling living room with cupholders everywhere.
And space?
Oh yeah.
Crew cab = tons of legroom
Big bed options
Storage for days
You can haul people, tools, groceries, and somehow still have room left over.
Now lets be real for a second
Parking? Its a truck
Gas mileage with the V8? Lets not talk about it
You WILL start volunteering to help people move
Thats just part of owning a truck.
Now because this is a dealership, we gotta talk about it
The legendary low-ball offer.
Customer walks up, sees this full-size truck and says:
Nice Ram would you take $9,000 cash today?
And the sales manager just pauses like
Sir are you trying to buy ONE tire or the entire truck??
Listen, we respect the hustle. We admire the confidence.
But this is a Ram 1500 Big Horn Lone Star, not a wheelbarrow from a yard sale.
If youre looking for:
A full-size truck that can actually work
A smooth, comfortable ride
Strong towing and hauling capability
And something that looks just as good as it performs
the 2020 Ram 1500 Big Horn Lone Star is a seriously solid choice.
So come take it for a spin.
Bring your license.
Bring your sense of humor.
And maybe bring an offer that doesnt make the finance manager slowly look up at the sky and question everything.
Because while we love a good joke
This Ram?
Yeah it means business.

2019 RAM 1500 OK but not great ...
By KK | on Thursday, January 09, 2020
I guess I was expecting (or hoping for) more from the "NEW" RAM ... THE GOOD > HEMI 5.7L - smooth powerful and torquey, > relatively quiet > rides and drives well for a pickup THE BAD > HEMI 5.7L fuel economy is abysmal anytime as is the multi displacement system which seems to only work when going downhill THE UGLY > build quality seems questionable, assorted creaks and groans and squeaks > noise cancelling system is junk, at times it adds its own noise to the cabin when things are rattling around in the back > at only 18K miles at times there are puffs of blue smoke (oil) at startup after sitting overnight WOULD I BUY ANOTHER? NO I WILL PASS… - 2.0
Love my 2021 Dodge Ram Limited truck but…
By Kperri | on Tuesday, January 17, 2023
I already need new tires after failing inspection with 29K miles and less than 2 years of owning the brand new truck. This comes a month after a cheap part broke on the side step that one would think would be covered under warranty but instead of covering it there was a money grab of over $200 to “diagnose” the cheap plastic that broke, and for the $200 part replacement cost they tried charging $1000 to replace it. Come on Dodge, you are ruining your brand!!… - 5.0
Just leaps & Bounds
By Johnny Appleseed | on Thursday, May 23, 2019
So I optioned first a 2019 Ram Bighorn,8.5 inch nav loaded screen,Level II package,4x4,3:92 axle ELocker,6ft bed.Got pricing from 5 Ram dealerships.Went to 3 Ford dealership’s and all of them never beat the price of the Ram 1500.And these were either ordered or on lots F-150 XLT trim with upgraded to 5.0L V-8 I did not want the V-6 TT turbo engine option to much money with 10 speed.Chevy’s trucks interior was even close in terms of comfort and center-stack just look old schooled. Both the Ford and the Chevy were more money or with in 900.0 dallors of the Ram 1500 but the styling and interior was just way better than the Ford F-150,and the Silverado...GM was not discounting hardly at all so the dealers were bring the price down on there side..Ford F-150’s interior was well just cheap looking with the small screen and hardly had no center storage because the shifter was there, not like the Ram 1500 had. The Ram 1500 center console is just way better design by a mile...Test drove all 3 and the Ram with the coil spring rode the best hands down and was far quieter inside while driving in city traffic during rush hour..My previous truck was a 2014 Ford F-150.I was a brand loyal kinda guy but after all the trips to these dealerships it became evident the Ram 1500 was the easy choice with my hard earn dallor..…
