2019 Range Rover Velar
If you’re in the Cleveland area and looking for an SUV that’s just as comfortable hitting the town as it is hitting the road, you’ll probably like the Range Rover Velar. In fact, this vehicle has a lot to offer drivers in the Parma and Garfield Heights areas.
The team at Land Rover Westside wanted to tell our customers about our favorite features, so we’ll lay them all out for you here in this 2019 Range Rover Velar review.
One of our favorite things about the 2019 Velar is the handling capabilities. It makes several systems available that can help you out of a tight spot, whether you’re commuting through snow or heading off-road.
With the available Terrain Response® system, you can optimize your Velar for the task at hand by selecting between several different drive modes, like Rock Crawl and Sand. You can further maximize your capabilities using the available Terrain Response® 2 system that includes an Auto mode. This mode actively monitors your driving conditions and automatically selects the appropriate drive mode.
If you find yourself really stuck, the available Low Traction Launch system can send 100 percent of engine torque to the front wheels to help get you moving. That’s a lot of strength when you consider that the available 380-horsepower 3.0L supercharged V6 engine generates 332 lb-ft of torque.
The other two available engines are the 180-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged I-4 diesel engine that delivers 317 lb-ft of torque, and the standard 247-horsepower 2.0L turbocharged I-4 gas engine that puts out 269 lb-ft of torque.
The Range Rover Velar is a very modern SUV and as such, it features several technology features that’ll help enhance your journey. When you first slide behind the wheel, you may notice that there are two touchscreen displays in the infotainment console.
This is the available Touch Pro™ Duo system and it stacks two touchscreens vertically, so you can access twice the information. For example, you can view turn-by-turn navigation on the top while keeping track of music streaming on the bottom.
You can also find information directly in front of your eyes with the available Head-Up Display. You’ll have importation information-like navigation, incoming calls, and speed limits-projected directly onto the lower portion of your windshield. This way, you can stay in-the-know without having to take your eyes off the road.
Driver-Assist Features in the Range Rover Velar
In addition to technologies to keep you connected, the Range Rover Velar has several features to help you stay safe while out on the road. Standard driver-assist technologies include Emergency Braking and Lane Keep Assist.
Emergency Braking attempts to mitigate a potential forward collision by automatically hitting the brakes for you if necessary. Lane Keep Assist, on the other hand, monitors road markings and issues an alert if it senses you’re drifting from your intended lane of travel.
If necessary, this system can also help to gently guide you back in line. Other features that can be added include Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go, and Blind Spot Assist.
